Hi people~~~
2 days ago, the youth ambassadors attended the pre-budget dialogue session (budget'08)
It was a really fun experience!!!
In the morning, we met up with Mr Surin and discussed all the questions and then he had Ms Shiow to test us...we were all very tired and nervous sia...thus we cannot really answer the questions...
Then later went home to change into long pants and leather shoes...came back and met Alvin, shannon and jasmine chung...
We then went to White Sands to have an early dinner at around 4.30
After that, we took a train to bugis...
We walked and walked till we finally reached the National Library Board!!!
We all went to Hans Cafe, wore our blazers and started to take pictures...but not so clear....haizz...
THen when Mr Surin came, we went up to something like a penthouse....some of them ate a little then we went into the conference room.
It was like those kinda very serious atmosphere you know...
then i raised my hand and talked on the issue of tourism ( areas of spending)
quite nervous at first, but then, i gradually get used to it...
haha...was seated beside jasmine chung and alvin...behind me was shannon and infront was inez
So we started to talk more...
BTW...the panel there were from the Ministry of Finance and the people from the other GRC...
After the whole talk ended, we (me & alvin) engaged with a woman who was working in Senoko Power Plant!!! 8D
Also, when we were going down the escalator, this indian man approached us and said we were bold!!! He even gave us his name card!!! so happy sia!!
After that, the others took the MRT home while i went home with Alvin cos his parents are fetching him...(Thanks Mr nd Mrs Chan!)
THat was all...it was a really nice experience and it has only been 2 days and i a already missing it already...i really wanna be engaged in this real soon or i will rot during the holidays!!!
